Shops opening hours in Rome
What time are the shops and supermarkets open in Rome? Any day of the week they are closed?

General speaking, most big shops and supermarkets are open every day of the week. Monday to Saturday many of the shops keeps open from 09:00 -13:00, and closes a few hours in the middle of the day. The shops reopen later around 15:00 to keep open until 18:00 or 19:00 minimum. You can find many shops open late in the evening, it´s a big city after all.
We found out that this is the general opening hours but don´t count on this hours for all the stores, it may differ a lot from shop to shop.
What about Sundays then? Well most of the big shops are open, no worries about that. Only the hours can be shorter, and open later in the morning.

We noticed the Souvenir shops in the center and around the typical tourist areas are open every day. No rush to buy the souvenirs the first day you arrive, take your time!
Supermarkets have open 08:00-20:00 every day of the week. Sundays can be the exception with shorter opening hours. Make sure you look at the opening hours of the supermarket you plan to buy your food and drinks as the hours can be different than this.
Pharmacies can be good to know about as well, just in case you need to buy something unexpected on your tip. Most of them follow the same general opening hours, whit a break in the middle of the days. No worries you can always find a pharmacy open on a Sunday as well, just google around if needed.
