Address: Via della Salara Vecchia, 5/6, 00186 Roma
Old ruins today but back i the days it was a center of public life for the romans. If you are going to the colosseum visite this old important place of history and try to imagine how life could have been in the ancient Roman capital. We thought it was impressive to see the old temples, palaces and of course the emperors palace on the top of the hill.
Even the kids liked this place of old buildings and they even found the old prison.
We discovered a really nice view is from the garden on top of the hill, where we had a lunch brake on a bench under the trees.
Entrance
There are 2 entries, on Via della Salara Vecchia 5/5, or on the via di San Gregorio. We entered via di San Gregorio which is the entry for both the Roman Forum and Palatine hills. This way you start by having the big arch of Titus in front of you as you getting closer to the start of the adventure.
